What LAVA stands for
At LAVA, the primary goal is to develop the finest youth and junior athletes and coaches in the region: an athletic blend of talent and technical mastery, volleyball acumen, competitiveness, work ethic and mental toughness, all bolstered by an enduring passion for the game. LAVA is known for exceptional coaches who produce well-trained, technically proficient athletes who know how to play hard, play the right way and play with heart.
While training performance athletes is the biggest part of what LAVA does for girls and SMBC does for boys, both strive to remain honest and forthright in all their actions and dealings. They are built around family, loyalty, dedication and reliability, creating an environment players, parents and coaches are proud of and feel at home in. In short, the aim is to develop not only quality athletes, but also remarkable young men and women.
The LAVA family of players, parents, coaches and administrators brings unique backgrounds, strong characters, valuable experience and a steadfast dedication to LAVA, and above all an enduring passion for volleyball and a desire to do right by everyone in the athletic community.
> Passion is what separates the many who won’t from the few who will. Play together, play for each other, come to play, and play to win, but above all, play with passion.
