Santa Barbara Volleyball Club

Girls division

SBVC Girls has been the club volleyball staple of Santa Barbara for more than thirty years, bringing quality coaching, training and competitive club volleyball to girls across the community.

About SBVC Girls

We have served thousands of athletes, parents and families since our inception, preparing them for high school volleyball and for volleyball at the collegiate level. In the 2026–2027 season we field 20 girls teams across the age divisions of girls club volleyball.

The club season

SBVC Girls teams practice two to three times per week (this varies by team) and compete in SCSN events for regional play, plus a selection of national tournament events. The girls club season runs from either the end of October (11U–14U teams) or late November (15U–18U teams) through the end of May or June, depending on the team.

Regional events. Teams play six to ten tournament days per season on average, depending on the team’s schedule. These events are usually held on weekends at SCSN venues across Southern California; SCSN posts each event’s site during tournament week. SCSN also hosts a series of Coastal Combine events: optional two-day regional tournaments, with participation decided team by team.

Featured national events. National travel schedules vary by team and may include up to three out-of-state events. The 2026–2027 USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships (SCSN calendar, dates tentative):

  • 18U: May 7–9, 2027, Minneapolis, MN
  • 11U–13U: June 18–21, 2027, Chicago, IL
  • 14U–15U: June 27–30, 2027, Las Vegas, NV
  • 16U–17U: July 2–5, 2027, Las Vegas, NV

SBVC Girls taps into our talent-rich community and strives to produce exceptional volleyball athletes and excellent young women. Our travel teams and the quality of our players are proof of our success on both fronts. We have assembled an excellent coaching staff, all under the guidance of SBVC Director Nick Vogel, a highly respected community figure.

We encourage you to speak to our Director, or to any of the families in our program, about what it means to be part of SBVC Girls.
