Santa Barbara Volleyball Club
Financial aid
Helping families in need take part in club volleyball.
Financial aid overview
Each year SBVC works hard to raise funds for players in financial need by seeking corporate sponsorships and private donations, and by hosting fundraisers throughout the season. Financial aid awards are also made possible in part by generous grants.
SBVC makes every attempt to give families in need some financial support. SBVC’s Financial Aid Committee distributes the money raised each year to as many eligible families as possible. To do so, SBVC generally provides partial awards toward total program fees. Only in rare circumstances can SBVC offer full support.
Who qualifies
We use the income guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and State Housing and Community Development, calculated under Santa Barbara County’s Housing Element. These figures are based mainly on Area Median Income (AMI) for a family of four, adjusted for household size and income category, and may change each year.
HUD income limits for Santa Barbara County
The committee considers:
- Financial need
- Seniority in SBVC
- Number of siblings currently playing in SBVC
